4th Day of Pinterest

On the 4th day of Pinterest it was time for a party outfit. Here are some ideas that I pulled off for everything from a fun night out for holiday drinks with friends or a fancy office party.

I also threw in a bonus look because I’m headed out to Vegas today and would love to rock this outfit while I’m perusing cowboy Christmas.

Silver Sparkle – This one shouldered number and pumps are great for drinks with friends.

Black and Gold – I love this look, drop the jacket and it would be a fun dancing outfit.

Smokey Grey – First of all I love grey, this is such a classic cut with simple, elegant accessories.

Shiny Green – THIS DRESS IS AMAZING! I wish, wish, wish I had a fun party to wear this to over the holidays. OMG, GREEN with envy.

Bonus Look – Navajo, fur, leather, yes please.

5th Day of Pinterest

On the 5th day of Pinterest people are getting ready for a party. With a lot of holiday parties happening and our office Christmas lunch happening today here are a few fun make up, nail and a hairdo idea to help get you through the party season. (Sorry in advance for the long photo streams for some of these ideas)

Glittery Gold Eye – What a pretty eye, especially with her brown eyes even though I think I can pull it off with my hazel/green eyes too.

Green Eye – I love color in eyeshadow especially when wearing muted clothing like an all-black dress to a holiday party.

Gold Leaf Nails – How fun are these?

Stained Glassed Nails – I want to do this so badly!

Holiday Pony – Fun vintage looking pony tail, simple hairdo that could take no time to throw together after work.

6th Day of Pinterest

On the 6th day of Pinterest Christmas I am making my list and checking it twice. Here are some last minute Christmas Gift ideas if you are looking for something for someone in your life.

For the traveler – Fun luggage tags: These are a great way to express yourself and as a traveler you can never have enough because they tend to get torn off bags from time-to-time.

For the entertainer – Vintage glasses: These are super cute and could be great for anyone who likes to have people over or have a bar set up at their house.

For the musician – Guitar Pick Punch: This is fun, you can make your own guitar pick from anything plastic…key cards, old credit cards, etc.

For the Mizzou Fan – Custom Mizzou Wall Art: Ok so this can be for any sports fan, you can customize what you want on it so it is special to you.

For the Cowgirl in all of us – Purse and Jewelry: Both of these are fun, unique and relatively inexpensive when compared to other items in the market…might be something I look for at Cowboy Christmas later this week.

7th Day of Pinterest

On the 7th Day of Christmas, I NEEDED A DRINK! And a stiff drink!

Well it is Monday and there is technically two shopping weekends left so I think it calls for some recipes to get you through the week or weekend. Since I will be at the NFR this weekend I am sure I will be sampling what Vegas has to offer in the beverage department, no need to wait until Thursday though!

Hot Spiked Cider – Who doesn’t love hot cider this time of the year, dress it up with some cinnamon sticks or red hots for a great presentation.

Cranberry Margarita – The sugared cranberries on the rim make it look so fancy and festive. Oh and I love cranberries so this has to be tasty!

Purple Cowboy Wine – This is a nice red wine that would be a great gift, usually runs around $9-10 and is for a good cause. The wines support Tough Enough to Wear Pink, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association’s effort to raise awareness and money for breast cancer.

Pumpkin Spice Latte – Warning…this is not an alcoholic drink, but sounds amazing and would be good for a crowd.

Christmas Sangria – Since I love Sangria and Christmas I’m sure I will love this…and I ADORE the garnish!

Pomosa – Great twist on the classic mimosa and it is gluten free!

Spiced Caramel Apple Martini – So I know this is a lot like a hot spiked cider but it is nostalgic for me from a trip with friends to Winter Park one December. The caramel vodka is to die for!

8th Day of Pinterest

On the 8th Day of Christmas I started to freak out no knowing what I was going to make for any of our holiday get togethers.

Brie Bites: These are a fun twist on the traditional brie appetizer.

Bacon pancakes: How fun would this be to serve on Christmas morning?

Lasagna Roll-Ups: A fun twist on lasagna, would be great for a dinner party or as a side dish.

Flank Steak: I don’t think you can ever go wrong with serving beef, especially flank steak that looks like this.

Butternut Squash Risotto: Awesome way to showcase butternut squash without doing a casserole or sautéing.

Crockpot Chicken: Sounds so tasty, a perfect meal when you get home from a long day of shopping.

Potatoes – I love potatoes, I love baked potatoes and I love chips, what is not to love about this?

Mushrooms – I think mushrooms go with just about any meal, this looks divine and so simple!

9th Day of Pinterest

Today is a fun day because on the 9th day of pinterest I got out my power tools and glue gun and started to DIY...

I LOVE DIY...and I can't, can't, can't wait to show you some of my awesome DIY gifts that I've made for this Christmas but I can't just yet because well many of them will go to those that are reading this blog...sorry to those of you who aren't going to get an awesome DIY present from me, maybe next year?

Retrofitted Knife Block - Such a cool idea.

Faux Metal Letters - These are cardboard and spraypainted with metallic paint

Burlap (again) placemats - Use a sharpie and create one-of-a-kind placemats.

10th Day of Pinterest

On the 10th Day of Christmas my friends say to me…
Throw a party.

Likely won’t happen this year unless I can sneak something in but always good to have a list of ideas in case you get a hair to throw an impromptu get together or are hosting a family affair.

Roll-up Tree – So cute, so simple and I’ve seen another version that stacks the roll ups so they make a 3-D tree, the flat version would travel much easier.

Brie and Cranberry – Simple and tasty option to the traditional baked brie.

Holiday Buffet Jars – These are so simple to make and can be any color you want and would display things like nuts and candies so nicely.

Drunk Cherries – reminds me of a drunk pineapple recipe that my friend Angie makes that is a huge hit for tailgating or summer parties.

Edamame Snacks – Edamame + parmesan = tasty little snack.

Cheese tree – So cute and who doesn’t love cheese?

Hot Crab Dip – anything baked in a bread bowl with cheese and crab I’m good with.

Burlap and lace table runner – simple, just simple and classic.

Menu Card – Such a fun way to display the menu.

Individual Veggie Cups – In French bread hollowed out with dip in the bottom…my mind is blown.
